About Ramesh Meyyappan

Ramesh is a Microsoft SQL Server specialist with expertise in Performance Monitoring, Tuning & Troubleshooting. He is also specialized in Managing & Optimizing SQL Server Implementation for SAP Customers. Furthermore, he conducts workshops on SQL Server Performance Monitoring & Tuning and SQL Server Administration & Tuning for SAP Customers which have been organized by 19 different Microsoft Subsidiaries.

Ramesh, after short assignments at Oracle Corporation, USA, and Sybase Inc., USA, was employed at Microsoft Corporation from 1994 to 2004. Nearly half of that time Ramesh worked in Redmond, USA, in the development teams, specifically as Program Manager in the Microsoft SQL Server Development Team, responsible for optimizing the SQL Server product for SAP.

In Austria, Ramesh worked as Principal/ Architectural Consultant for Microsoft Consulting Services, helping European Microsoft and SAP customers with Microsoft SQL Server Performance Monitoring, Tuning and Troubleshooting and by teaching workshops.

Microsoft Employees (including senior members of Microsoft Consulting Services, Support and SQL Server Product Development team) have participated in his “3 Day Level 400 Microsoft SQL Server Performance Monitoring & Tuning Hands-on Workshop”.

SAP AG’s IT Department DBAs in Walldorf, Germany, have participated in the “Level 300 Microsoft SQL Server Administration & Tuning for SAP Customers Hands-on Workshop” held by Ramesh. Furthermore, Ramesh Meyyappan conducted trainings on behalf of SAP Educational Services.

Ramesh was voted joint first by attendees for the “Maximizing your existing hardware CPU, Memory and Disk” session he held during the Microsoft United Kingdom SQL Server 2008 R2 Launch Event in 2010. Also, SQLBits organizers presented the “Best Speaker Award” to Ramesh Meyyappan.

In 2014, Ramesh Meyyappan trained Microsoft Premier Field Engineers and Senior Consultants at Microsoft Russia in Moscow.

Also in 2014, Ramesh launched SQLTest – SQL Server Performance, Load, Stress and Unit Test Tool as well as sp_whopro™ – SQL Server Activity Monitoring and Logging Stored Procedure.
